SAFE SPORT INTERNATIONAL PRESENTS

Run for safer sport

Neal’s running in London. Where will you run?

In April 2027, Safe Sport International CEO Neal Anderson will take on the TCS London Marathon.

But this campaign is about more than one runner.

We’re inviting the global safe sport community to join Neal by taking on your own 26.2 miles through the TCS London Marathon MyWay — wherever you are.

One marathon. One global community.

Safe Sport International brings together people and organisations across the world who share one ambition:

Everyone, everywhere, safe in sport.

In April 2027, we want that community to come together in a different way.

Whether you’re in London, Cape Town, Toronto, Sydney, Nairobi or anywhere else in the world, you can join Neal by completing your own 26.2 miles through the TCS London Marathon MyWay.

Run it. Walk it. Take it on with friends, colleagues or your organisation.

What matters is that we do it together.

Two ways to be part of Run for Safer Sport

RUN WITH NEAL

Take on your own 26.2-mile marathon through the TCS London Marathon MyWay.

You can complete the challenge wherever you are and become part of the wider Run for Safer Sport community.

You might choose to run alone, walk the distance, take part with colleagues or build a team around the challenge.

However you do it, you’ll be joining people around the world behind one shared goal.

SPONSOR NEAL

Not quite ready for 26.2 miles?

You can still be part of the campaign by sponsoring Neal as he takes on the TCS London Marathon for Safe Sport International.

Every donation helps support SSI’s work to advance safer sport through research, international standards, education, collaboration and practical safeguarding solutions.

26.2 miles for safer sport

Sport should be a place where everyone can participate safely and without fear of violence, harassment or abuse.

Safe Sport International is the independent global body dedicated to advancing safe sport through evidence, accountability and collaboration. We unite policy leaders, practitioners, survivors, researchers, advocates and organisations to help build safer systems and cultures worldwide.

Our work helps to:

  • strengthen safeguarding standards
  • translate research and lived experience into practical solutions
  • build knowledge and capability within sport
  • connect practitioners and organisations internationally
  • amplify athlete and affected-person voices
  • support stronger accountability and safer sporting environments

Every runner who joins us, every person who shares the campaign and every donation helps strengthen that work.

Everyone, everywhere, safe in sport.

“I spend every day working alongside people around the world who are committed to making sport safer.

Running the London Marathon gives me an opportunity to do something personally to support that work — but I’d love this to become much bigger than my own run.

I want people from across the Safe Sport International community to join me, wherever they are in the world.

Whether you run, walk, fundraise or simply support the campaign, I hope we can use these 26.2 miles to bring people together behind something we all believe in:

everyone, everywhere, safe in sport.”Neal AndersonCEO, Safe Sport International
