SafeSport26 was made possible through collaboration between organisations committed to strengthening safeguarding, athlete safety and international cooperation across sport.
Delivered through collaboration
SafeSport26 was organised and led by Safe Sport International, the Sport for Social Change Network Africa and the African Union Sports Council, and hosted by the University of Cape Town.
Together with international, regional and South African partners and supporters, these organisations helped bring global expertise, African leadership, research and real-world safeguarding practice together in Cape Town.
Their involvement enabled SafeSport26 to connect people and perspectives from across policy, sport, academia, civil society and safeguarding practice.
