International Safeguards for Children in Sport Manger

The International Safeguards for Children in Sport exists to ensure that sport is safe for every child, everywhere.
About the role
The International Safeguards for Children in Sport Manager leads the coordination, development and sustainability of a global initiative with over 200 member organisations worldwide.
Working with the International Safeguards for Children in Sport Advisory Board and Working Group, and supported by Safe Sport International, you will shape strategy, deliver priority actions and act as an ambassador for safeguarding in sport. Key responsibilities include leading sustainability and fundraising strategy, coordinating delivery of the Action Plan, supporting the Advisory Board, building partnerships, overseeing communications and representing the initiative externally.

Safe Sport International Voluntary Treasurer
Voluntary role

If you are a senior finance professional motivated to use your expertise for public benefit, this is an opportunity to provide strategic financial leadership as Safe Sport International enters its next phase of growth. SSI is the independent global body dedicated to preventing violence, harassment and abuse in sport through evidence, accountability and collaboration.
About the role
The Voluntary Treasurer will provide independent financial oversight, proportionate assurance and strategic financial leadership. Working closely with the Board of Trustees and CEO, you will chair the Finance and Risk Committee, support sound decision-making and help ensure SSI’s ambitions are underpinned by sustainable plans, effective controls and clear accountability.
Key responsibilities include reviewing management accounts, budgets and forecasts; advising on financial sustainability, income diversification and risk; overseeing the Risk Register and financial controls; supporting legal and regulatory compliance; and presenting recommendations to the Board.
We are looking for a qualified accountant or senior finance professional with strong knowledge of UK charity accounting and reporting, sound judgement, independence of thought and a commitment to SSI’s vision of everyone, everywhere safe in sport.

The SSI Athlete Voice Group brings together people committed to safe and inclusive athlete experiences. Members contribute diverse perspectives from different sports, cultures, regions and lived experiences, working collectively to amplify athlete voices and strengthen safe sport.
About the role
Members provide athlete-informed insight that strengthens SSI’s influencing, standards, events and knowledge mobilisation work. They contribute to recommendations and publications, support SSI events and resources, and participate in peer discussion, learning and development.
Members help maintain a safe, caring and respectful environment in which athletes can connect and be heard, without pressure to disclose personal experiences.
