  • Why can’t I see course videos in Safari browser?

    If you’re using Apple’s Safari browser and can’t see the embedded course videos, please update the following browser setting:

    Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Untick “Hide IP address from trackers”

    Once done, please refresh the course page.

Course access 

  • What are the admission requirements?

    Anyone 18 years or over can take our courses, as relevant to their role or responsibilities.

  • How do I purchase course access?

    Please select “Enroll Now” against the relevant course, or visit our store.

  • What type of learning is available?

    We offer a wide variety of safeguarding learning.

  • How long is my safeguarding certificate valid?

    You should refresh your safeguarding certificate at a frequency advised by your sporting body.

    SSI advises that safeguarding training is refreshed at least every 3 years.

  • How long will I have access to courses?

    There’s no time limit on course access. You may continue to access your learning for as long as the course is available on the SSI platform.

  • Will I receive a certificate after course completion?

    Courses include a downloadable certificate of completion, available once all aspects of a course have been completed.

    Certificates can be accessed via the My Courses & Achievements dashboard.

  • Does SSI offer free courses?

    Yes, our suite of i-Protect courses is available free of charge.

  • What payment options are there?

    Course payments are securely processed using Stripe, which supports all popular payment cards.

  • What happens once I’ve paid?

    Once you’ve paid, you’ll receive a couple of emails to confirm.

    One of these emails will prompt you to set the password for your account, if you don’t already have one.

    You may then login and access your course(s) via your My Courses & Achievements dashboard.

  • Can I gift course access to another person?

    Yes, we’re so pleased you’ve asked this!

    When you visit our store, you’ll have the option to “Give the gift of learning – LOV”.

    Simply select the number of Learning Opportunity Vouchers (LOV) you wish to gift.

    Upon receipt of your order, we’ll email the voucher code(s) for you to send to your recipient(s) of choice. We’ll aim to do this within 3 working days.

  • What’s your refund policy?

    If you make a purchase and then wish to receive a refund, please contact us within 14 days of purchase.

    Please note: we cannot provide refunds after 14 days, or for courses you’ve already started.

  • Does the SSI platform use cookies and other tracking technologies?

    We use a minimal number of cookies to help secure our website (e.g. session cookies and Google reCaptcha v3), track course progression, process payments and help us improve visitor experience (e.g. Google Analytics).

  • How secure is the SSI platform?

    Security of our platform is a top priority for Safe Sport International.

    We have a number of systems and best-practices in place to help us manage this.

  • Where is my data stored?

    All user data is stored on secure servers in UK data centres.

    Additionally, to ensure our platform performs as quickly as possible, we use an integrated Content Delivery Network (CDN). This means certain static files (such as images and videos) are transmitted to you via a secure global network.
